The principal aims of this study are (i) to investigate the effect of the communicationskill course, (ii) to explore occupational therapy students' attitudes toward clinical training, and(iii) to seek support strategies which increase their effectiveness as occupational therapy students.Questionnaires completed by the students who attended the communication skill course wereanalysed (N=24). The findings show that the students noticed the improvement in theircommunication skills and the reduction in their anxiety level after the course. In addition, theyshow that the students discovered ways to reduce their anxieties through the course, and that theirattitudes toward clinical training changed positively.
